Saturday 21 February Monkeyfists – the UK’s most landlocked shanty band – who rocked the Wallingford Bunkfest last August are coming to the Crown Inn, 52, High Street, Benson OX10 6RP. It’s a pub – no entry fee stated. Live music from 8pm.

Saturday 28 February Crendon Chamber Orchestra at St. Mary’s Church, Thame, 7:30pm. Friday 6 March Oxford’s Man Choir, with guests Natalia Kakarkina present Man Choir 6 to take place in St Mary Magdalen Church in St Giles, Oxford, featuring a diverse set mixing of folk classics, shanties, 70s and 80s pop songs, and even polyphonic Georgian material, Man Choir sings unaccompanied but with a vulnerability and openness that shares their enjoyment of singing with the audience. The material and the men who sing it will entertain you, make you smile, challenge you musically and move you in surprising ways. 7.30 – 9.45 Tickets £9.85. You might recognise one or three of ‘the men in black’.

Friday 13 March Ukolade at the Chinnor Village Centre. Sing along with Adrian Broadway and the local ukulele band. Ticket £15 from Chinnor Village Centre includes ploughman’s supper. Doors open 7pm. Live music starts at 7.30.

Tuesday 10 March Lunchtime Concert at St Mary’s Thame features saxophone quartet Allsorts, 12.30 Admission free. Retiring collection proceeds to church and local charities.

Thursday 6 August Spooky Men’s Chorale are appearing in Oxford as part of their 25 Anniversary Tour. Venue still to be confirmed but interest can now be registered at https://linktr.ee/spookox26 with tickets likely to be around £30.

Saturday 3 October Date for diaries. The Wormsley estate near Stokenchurch have built a wonderful studio complex at which a well known TV show have been filming. The Dung Beatles band, have been booked to play our ‘Beatles Years and Beyond’ show there.
