Sunday April 26 at 6pm. Here is an unusual event which could be very interesting.St Mary’s Church in Kidlington will be the setting for Musical Dialogue – an evening conversation between two distinguished British pianists, Dame Imogen Cooper and Tim Horton. Having recently announced her retirement after sixty years at the forefront of international classical music, Dame Imogen is currently on her farewell tour. She’ll be joined by Tim Horton – one of the UK’s leading pianists and a Kidlington resident – for a candid discussion about the joys and demands of a life on the concert stage. Selected recordings will be heard throughout the evening, offering a musical thread to their conversation.
We feel this would resonate with anyone who is serious about music and performance, and would be delighted if you were able to share details with your members. Tickets are £25, with discounts available. Booking is through fosmk.org.uk (https://fosmk.org.uk/musical-dialogue/) or Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/musical-dialogue-tickets-1984401294691 )
