Dates for this term 7th January – 25th March 12 weeks no half term break.

18 January Chinnor Donkey Lane Community Orchard Wassail, 2 – 4pm (doors (!) open 1.30pm) at the Donkey Lane Community Orchard. The date and timings are: Sunday 18th January 2026 2 pm – 4 pm with gates opening to the public at 1:30 pm. Bring pots and pans to repel the evil spirits, bring voices to bless the trees. Check the weather forecast and dress up appropriately. Bring a brolly if needed! Wear wellington boots or stout, waterproof footwear that is suitable for walking around in an orchard environment, in winter weather. VV revellers usually retreat to the Red Lion before the last bus leaves Thame. Help wish good health for the Orchard, wealth for the community and a bountiful fruit harvest for 2026. Bring musical instruments, pans and spoons, whistles or anything noisy! Help make a jolly din to chase away pesky spirits as we process round the fruit trees, fete the decorated ‘King and Queen of the Orchard’ and sing traditional Wassail songs.
